Led by Nemours Children’s Health, Healthy Kids, Healthy Future is a national effort to promote healthy eating and physical activity in child care. We partner with national and state organizations to embed best practices in early care and education (ECE) settings and systems. Nemours develops, implements, and shares resources for ECE professionals to create healthier environments for young children. Healthy Kids, Healthy Future continues the momentum started by Let’s Move! Child Care launched in 2011 as part of Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative to prevent childhood obesity.

“We joined Let’s Move! Child Care to help raise a healthier generation of kids. Since joining we have seen a decrease in absenteeism, weight loss in children who were obese and increased appetites for healthy foods.”

The Quiz

Access our simple online checklist quiz with the email you use to sign up. You might find it helpful to complete the quiz during nap time or after children have left for the day. You may need to ask your director or other providers in your program for their input as well. The checklist quiz will ask questions about physical activity, nutrition and screen time in your program. The number of questions depends on the age range you serve. There will be up to 15 questions.
Be sure to register before taking the quiz.
