Welcome to NHE (Nourishing Healthy Eaters)
NHE is an out-of-the-box training package for early care and education (ECE) and health training and technical assistance (T/TA) staff on healthy eating practices for infants, toddlers and preschool aged children.
NHE trains and coaches state early care and education (ECE) working directly with ECE providers (Head Start, Early Head Start, Child Care Centers, family child care, prekindergarten). The goal of NHE content is to increase provider knowledge of healthy eating practices for children birth to five. NHE content includes reflection activities, action planning, resources and ideas for connecting with families.
Nourishing Healthy Eaters materials include a PowerPoint presentation, Facilitator Guide and participant handouts. A material list for items used in training activities and to support on site technical assistance is available.
